Tycho Brahe (1546-1601) was an astronomer, duelist and one of the least most offensive masters of Bartimaeus. Bartimaeus noted that he was also a scoundrel, kissing friend's wives and getting into fights due to his passionate personality. He ended up getting his nose cut off during a duel, than ordered Bartimaeus to fashion him a new one. After this, they became friends and soon Tycho started summoning Bart when he "fancied a good conversation." Tycho once bet Bartimaeus his freedom that he couldn't jump across the Vltava in a single bound. If Bartimaeus succeeded, he was free to destroy Tycho as he pleased. Tycho, however, had chosen the day carefully and due to the weaher, Bart failed and plunged into the river.
