Shubit was Ms Whitwell's polite Afrit, who appeared briefly appeared in Amulet of Samarkand when Simon Lovelace summoned the great entity Ramuthra. Whitwell ordered it to kill Lovelace, but it failed when Ramuthra appeared. He was also seen during the events of The Golem's Eye, and also during Whitwell's futile attempts to escape Nouda in The Gate of Ptomely. His servitude ended with her death. Shubit's preferred form is a black bear. He is as strong or stronger than Naeryan as his shield absorbed her attack.
