Mites

Mites are small and weak lesser spirits that take the form of strange insects, with too many legs and vicious stingers in their tails. They are of minimal intelligence and only capable of stinging foes. [1] With the Words of Direction and Control, a magician can direct mites to a target. However, they are not very accurate.[2]

Mites may be the weakest type of demon. Anyone can see their true form without any spectacles or contact lenses.[1]

In The Amulet of Samarkand, Nathaniel directs some mites to sting Simon Lovelace in revenge for being humiliated.[2]

Also mites can be encased with mineral powders in a metal container to produce a Prague Cube. With a command these cubes will combust in an interesting way.[3]
