Ascobol was a djinni in service to Nathaniel. He disliked Bartimaeus and Bartimaeus disliked him in turn, for both the cyclops guise he normally employs and his "silly falsetto voice." His name was one of those more recently discovered and so his summoning history is short compared to Bartimaeus.
He was killed by Faquarl in the Ambassador, when he was sent to kill Hopkins in the hotel.
